Agilio Software produce software solutions to empower teams to deliver the best quality care across healthcare sectors including dental, primary care and hospitals.

The Agilio Group companies share 40+ years of combined experience to offer a comprehensive range of products and services to support the safe and efficient running of healthcare practices.

What was the background to the support?

The Agilio Group was put together by August Equity from 2019 with the purchase of CODEplan, the leading provider of software-led compliance and HR services into the UK dental market, provided the first platform for Agilio. Other companies including Isopharm Ltd, Myhrtoolkit Ltd and Clarity informatics were added to the Group through 2020 – 2022.

What HR goals did the group have?

 The Agilio Group wanted to retain a separate company structure, but wanted a common HR architecture and uniformity of culture across the group.

Key goals were:

  • a unified pay and benefits structure;
  • A group vision and values;
  • A package of working from home policies and procedures;
  • A core training package;
  • Consistency of HR documentation across HR, GDPR, and IT;
  • A consistent performance management process; and
  • Clear communication channels.

What was the process?

From the very beginning, all HR functions were built with high-growth and risk-minimisation built in. All new functions – such as the HR documentation – were designed to facilitate and enable employees to work effectively and efficiently with the least friction.

Foundational to the implementation of new employment contracts across the group was a new pay and benefits structure, assisted by the implantation of a new tech platform. Managing to make this attractive to a number of companies with rather different historical attitudes to pay and benefits was trickly, but the fact that every single employee signed up the new contract was a testament to the planning that went into the job.

Core HR software was implemented allowing for the efficient distribution of the newly drafted HR, IT, working from home and GDPR handbooks and policies.

A consistent approach to consultants and workers was implemented significantly reducing tax and other risk factors.

Core training for employees is key and a series of company-wide, or manager-wide video training is underway on topics such as equality, disability, email use, bullying and harassment, GDPR and personal data for example.
